USCIS Selects Additional FY 2021 H-1B Cap Cases

//USCIS Selects Additional FY 2021 H-1B Cap Cases

On August 14, 2020, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began updating it’s H-1B portal with new Registration Selections, reflecting additional H-1B cap registrations had been selected in a second lottery cycle for FY 2021.  USCIS selected additional H-1B cap registrations because it did not receive enough filed H-1B petitions from the first lottery to meet the cap. Employers whose H-1B cap cases were selected in this second lottery have until November 16, 2020 to file the H-1B petitions to USCIS. Note that if Employers file the H-1B Petition after October 3rd, 2020, the new H-1B filing fees and premium processing timeline will be in place.

SPS Immigration is checking the portal and will notify clients if they have additional cases selected in this second lottery round. If you have questions about how this may impact your case, please reach out to SPS Immigration.
