If Congress does not reach an agreement on the FY2016 budget in the next week, it will shut down on October 1, 2015. A Federal Government shutdown impacts Employer’s ability to file immigration-related paperwork to the U.S. Department of Labor including Labor Condition Applications (LCA), Prevailing Wage Determination Requests, Labor Certification Applications (PERM) or Temporary Employment Certification (H-2A/H-2B). Please contact SPS Immigration if you have questions about how a government shutdown would impact your immigration case.
